The Scandic Europa is an eight-storey city centre hotel located opposite the train station and one kilometre from Trädgårdsföreningen gardens. The 450 guestrooms, all feature classic Nordic decor and are equipped with cable television with pay movies, wireless Internet, direct- dial phones and minibars, and bathrooms shower/tub combinations.
The bright, modern Europas restaurant offers lunch and brunch buffets, and a la carte dining in the evenings, while strong coffee, cold beer and a selection of spirits are served in the adjacent bar. Guests can unwind in the hotel's sixth-floor health club, which comprises a sauna and a heated indoor pool with views across the rooftops of Gothenburg. The VIP sauna, a private relaxation room with a TV and sound system, provides a casual venue for meetings. Guests visiting on business can stay connected via complimentary high-speed Internet access, and the hotel houses eight meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 70 people. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can arrange tickets for shows and sightseeing trips, exchange currency and provide around-the-clock room service. Guests arriving by car will find parking facilities available on site (surcharge). Thrill-seekers can spend a day riding the rollercoasters at Liseberg, Sweden's largest amusement park, three kilometres from the hotel. Those looking for more sedate entertainment can explore the butterfly and palm houses at Trädgårdsföreningen gardens, one kilometre away. Gothenburg Landvetter Airport is 28 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.

Airport buses serve Gothenburg and Borås. Timetables are available at Luftfarsverket Information at the airport. Public buses also run from the airport; bus no.615 runs to Landvetter via Härryda Church, while bus no.616 goes to Rävlanda via Hällingsjö and Landvetter. Taxis are available from outside the airport and often have a fixed rate fare to Gothenburg city and other destinations from the airport. Gothenburg is not very large and is best explored on foot, though the city is well served by taxis, trams and buses.
