Location. The grand Elite Plaza Hotel in central Gothenburg, Sweden, is on Vaestra Hamngatan, just one kilometre from the Opera House and Liseberg Amusement Park. The hotel is 50 metres from the tram station and 700 metres from the central railway station.
Hotel Features. The Elite Plaza Hotel was built in 1889 and features original stucco ceilings and mosaic flooring. The hotel's walls are adorned with modern art.

Seafood is the speciality at the contemporary Restaurant Swea Hof, which also serves traditional Swedish dishes. The hotel has a relaxed, English-style pub with a fireplace. It serves over 60 beers and whiskies, as well as traditional English dishes. Private wine tastings and dinners can also be booked in the hotel's wine cellar. Complimentary buffet breakfasts are available, and there is 24-hour room service (surcharge).

The hotel has a business centre and Internet connections in public areas.

The hotel's health club has a gym and sauna. There is also a garden for guests to relax in.

Guestrooms. The Elite Plaza Hotel's 130 air-conditioned guestrooms feature satellite television, CD players, safes, minibars and dial-up Internet connections. Bathrooms have complimentary toiletries.

From Gothenburg Landvetter Airport (GOT):
Distance to Elite Plaza Hotel is 30 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.

Getting there. A shuttle bus runs between the airport and central Gothenburg, and a single ticket costs 80 SEK. During peak hours, buses run every 15 minutes. During off-peak hour and at weekends, they run every 30 minutes. Buses number 615 and 616 travel to nearby towns, including Rävlanda and Landvetter. Taxis are available from outside the airport and the fare to central Gothenburg is around 300 SEK-350 SEK. Prices are sometimes fixed, so check before departing.

Getting around. The hotel is on Vaestra Hamngatan in central Gothenburg. Walking is the best way to explore central Gothenburg. Trams and buses are available throughout the city, and integrated daily tickets can be used on trams, buses, and ferries. Valet parking is available at the hotel (surcharge).
