Hôtel Delcloy - Bordighera

We got there to discover there was an additional euro per day per person to pay on top of the money we had already payed, which was meant to include all taxes. There is no air conditioning or fans in the rooms and we were extremely hot at night. Lovely swimming pool though.

Nice garden surronds this hotel and the setings are beautiful on the oceanfront. Room are simple, but a lot of the staff does not speak english.

Just about the best bargain you can find in a really expensive location. It's kind of like a hostel, but its location cannot be beat. I cannot understand why they don't fix the place up, it could be paradise. Breakfast not included, but not good. Rooms not so good, electrical problems, none of the "amenities" listed (tv, internet...)weren't too great, but who cares? Just go wander the French Riviera and swim..it's fantastic. Hotel people and pool were nice enough. But the view from the pool and dining area is unbelievable. As well as the promendade. The same view they're paying ten times more for next door, but then again, they'll also bring you a Cuban cigar on a silver tray over there. Good for kids and young people...but if you've got the cash, go ahead and splurge elsewhere. Maybe it's nice that they keep one prime spot affordable for the rest of us.

The swimming pool, though very cold, was the only really nice thing at the hotel. The view of the bay was beautiful, as well. Service is NON EXISTENT. They provide free WiFi in the lobby, but it works only sometimes at at a pace reminiscent of first dial-up speeds. There are zero creature comforts. Really, zero. There is a bed and a table. That's it. Very hot and stuffy. They act like giving an extra towel would be something like impossible. Almost all of the clientele is French--lots of kids, lots of screaming kids, so if you want peace and quiet, try somewhere else.

Hotellet ligger nydelig til bare meter fra sjøen og promenaden som går rundt capen, men det er bygd fryktelig dumt. Mot sjøen ligger bassenget og bygningen nærmest der igjen er resepsjonen med restauranten. Rommene er egne bygninger på baksiden slik at man har ingen utsikt. Synd for det kunne vært virkelig fantastisk hvis det hadde vært bygget slik som Royal Riviera som er hotellet ved siden av. Ellers var maten i restauranten en stor skuffelse og eneste gang vi fikk dårlig mat i løpet av vår 3 ukers feire. Ved innsjekk var verandaen vår skitten og lite tiltalende. Stort pluss for bassengområdet som var meget bra. Ellers ligger hotellet slik til at du kan gå til Villefranche på ca 20 min.
