Citea Nice Acropolis - Nice

Me and my mun enjoyed our stay in Citea for the ten days that we spent in Nice. The hotel and our room looked good and exactly as in the Hotels.com pictures. The room was well stocked, comfortable, and there were no disturbing noises from outside. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Special thank you for the English language skills of the Reception workers. The room was cleaned every day and the maids were friendly despite the language barrier (neither me or mum speak French). The only minuses were that the air conditioning didn't cool the air enough. We're from Finland, so room temperature of 23 to 25 celsius was too high. Especially when it was a considerably hot Autumn for France (it was about 30 degrees even in the evening). Also, true to French and Italian hotel cleaning customs, the floor wasn't cleaned, so one had to wear shoes at all times (otherwise you may develop a rash because of the bacteria on the floor). All in all, I would love to stay in Citea again (perhaps at a time of year when the temperature was milder) and take more advantage of the cooking possibilities. There was no oven but otherwise the kitchenette was well stocked.

Pros: This is a beautiful hotel room, especially after coming from tiny hotels in Paris. Beautiful tile floor and big, pretty balcony, spacious room. The staff was pleasant. They will lend you a hair dryer or an iron. It needs to be improved, though. Cons: The twin beds are not really beds, but cots. The shower stinks like mildew because the drain does not work in the sink and shower. The water is stagnant and stays there. It's gross standing in the dirty water. The location is good if you want the acropolis meetings or events. But you have to take a short tram ride to the city centre to get anywhere else. Or walk 20 minutes in Nice's humidity. It's better to stay in the city centre and I found a few hotels there for the same price. In the centre, you can walk to the beach or anywhere.

The immediate neighborhood of the hotel isn't anything to shout about, but it is a short walk to heart of the old town of Nice. Make sure you reserve parking ahead of time if you need it.

1. Great location! Close to Old town, the beach, bus station, tram... it is all average 5min's walk away. Friendly (english speaking) 24h staff. Clean med-large rooms. Good value for money

Hotel is clean, ideal location for for our stay visiting family in the old town. Tram stop on the road just behind the Hotel is ideal for Railway station. Downsides, only one small pillow each, no kettle for making tea. would use again but will take teatowel/dishcloth &small amount of washing up liquid.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Was perfectly acceptable for a 2* hotel in the centre of Nice. Staff were helpful, spoke English and on call 24hrs if needed. We had a 2 person studio, which was really just a room with a small kicthenette, that had microwave/grill, fridge and coffee machine (including plates/cutlery etc). A Netto (Co-Op type shop) was just down the road and we saved a lot on breakfast's by buying fresh meat/cheese and rolls etc for breakfast. The room was very clean but the bathroom was quite small (but this doesnt influence our decision when booking!). Outside the room was noisy on Wednesday, as there was a creche next door but this was the only day (that we were there anyway). The hotel has underground parking for 9Euros, which is very handy, as parking in the city is expensive (if staying in NCP type) and a nightmare if you want to street park. The hotel is well placed to reach the centre (500m) train station and the Promenade de Anglais (a lesiurely 10min walk). Overall, a pleasent stay in a 2* hotel, which is what you should expect.

This hotel has a great location if you're attending a conference at the Acropolis (literally right across the street). It is also close to the old town and not too far a walk (less than a mile) to the port or the beach. The room was clean and serviceable but comfort left a little to be desired. The bed was a very firm foam mattress with lumpy pillows. The room had a strong chemical smell (I think from being cleaned). The hotel seems to be big into environmentally friendly energy savings. The shower has ridiculously low water pressure. The hallway lights automatically turn off (and need to be turned back on manually).

Our room at Citea Nice Acropolis was reminiscent of a single dorm room -- it had a bed, a kitchenette with a small table, and a basic bathroom. The bedding and furnishings were worn (and the mattress was thin), but everything was clean. It's in a great location, very close to transportation, in an area with plenty of restaurants, and a 15 minute walk from the Old Town. The desk staff were very pleasant and happy to give directions, etc.

The hotel was easy to find and in a good spot. It was close to the old town (lovely) and only a short walk to the bus station and tram line. The kitchenette was well equipped and it served our purposes for a short two night break. I was dissapointed at the swimming pool (no sun loungers) and the lack of mirrors in the rooms! The staff were friednly and helpful. I would stay there again and recommend it as a no frills hotel which is great if all you need to do is crash for the night.

Our double room was inexpensive, and the hotel is well located (in a residential area near restaurants, 5 minutes walk to the bus station, and 10-15 minutes walk to the Old Town). The room was plain but serviceable, with a small kitchenette (mini-fridge, microwave and electric burners). Everything was generally clean, but worn. There were a few maintenance issues, though: our showerhead did not have a wall bracket, which made showering awkward; one of our overhead lightbulbs was burned out; and the upholstered chairs could have used a steam-cleaning. We only stayed for two nights, so none of these things really impeded our stay, but we would have addressed them if we'd been staying longer. We would stay at this or another Citea property again, as the prices are quite good if you don't mind somewhat spartan accommodations.

It's across the street from the convention center, so if you are in Nice for a meeting, it's ideal. Most hotels in Nice are on the beach, a fifteen minute walk from this hotel. The rooms have mini kitchens, a plus, especially if you are at a meeting.

We felt we got great value for money at this hotel. Good location, very clean, pool was a lovely surprise as we had expected something smaller! Staff helpful and breakfast made up of very fresh food.

Very central, just beyond Place Garibaldi, handy for old town, coach station to airport, MAMAC art gallery. Clean, simple, with kitchenettes in the room so you can make your own coffee. Bed a bit hard, otherwise room excellent. Aircon / TV /shower all worked. Staff friendly, but a bit overwhelmed when several groups tried to book in at once. There's a pool on the roof though it's tiny. Overall good value for late July.

This hotel is excellently situated for access to the old town and the bus station. We walked or took the tram/bus everywhere (4Eu for a day ticket) and the hotel was perfectly placed. The desk staff are a little distant and not particularly helpful but the room we had had tons of space, with almost full kitchen facilities if we felt like doing our own thing. The pool is very small but is nice to have when you need to cool down in the heat. There are no loungers, so bring an airbed or something. We had a really good stay and Nice was an excellent place for a holiday.

Lots more potential at this hotel....but it was clean and very well located. You can, however, see all the things that make a hotel 2*...you get what you pay for.

When traveling as a family of 4, finding a hotel room that fits us in Europe is always a challenge. This hotel has studio appartments with a bedroom and a pull-out couch and a kitchenette. The tram runs right behind it. It is close to many attractions in Nice. It is not the cleanest hotel around, nor the most appointed, but not the worst either. Skip the paid breakfast, there is plenty to choose from outside the lobby. If you want a good rate for a bigger room, this is not a bad choice

Better value for money than other hotels. The hotel was in a good location, 10 minute walk to town centre and 15 minutes to the beach. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The bed is a little hard and air con and heating system click occasionally. The kitchenette is useful but lacking in cork-screw and coffee cups.

Hotel was very good and it provided a kitchenette so we could prepare our own meals. Was in easy walking distance to the ocean, we had a good stay and would return without question. An ideal hotel for family's with children or for travelers with a limited budget because you don't have to eat out, you can cook in your room. There are also two food supermarkets in the next block so eating was economical and convenient. Also easy walking distance to the train station to travel into Monte Carlo or the other way to Cannes.

Dirty room with a filthy balcony. Room not cleaned and towels not changed once during our 4 night stay. Most plug sockets didn't work and neither did the fridge or microwave. Staff exceptionally rude. On the plus side in a good location and pool a bonus. Not enough to make me recommend this hotel. Have complained to Citea but no response.

Convaincus d'avoir la possibilité de garer notre voiture nus avons réservé en toute confiance... Le garage doit être également réservé et cela n'est pas possible via internet. Il a fallu grer la voiture très loin!!! la salle de bain mal aérée sentait le moisi et cela est particulièrement désagréable. Petit déjeuner buffet sans service et sans beaucoup de choix.

Stort rom med balkong og kjøkkenkrok. Basseng på taket ett pluss. Kort vei til gamlebyen og flybuss.

Bien situé pour l'accès au port, en particulier pour l'acces aux ferry (la réception 24/24), mais une chambre avec deux lits jumeaux au lieu d'un lit double réservé sur hotel.com, et une chambre plutot mal agencée, surtout la cuisine: à déconseiller pour un long séjour.

Bien placé proche de centre ville et shopping, chambre grand avec une petite cuisine pratique, staff gentil et serviable

Hotel was moderate in general. Corridors are continuously dark with many doors and without window and you have to switch on the lights to walk/see. The inside of the room shows lack of maintenance with non properly working shower head and some towels not properly cleaned. The only strong advantage is the closed Parking place difficult to find in Nice

Nettes Hotel mit kleinem Pool auf dem Dach. Sehr nahe an Nizzas herrlicher Altstadt gelegen, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Gerne wieder.

Bad service, cleaned 2 times only in 11 days, they did not even moped the floor. Stinky kitchnet, extremly small bathroom. Very hard matress and extremly bad pillows, Not recommended for more than 2 nights

Bon accueil chambres confortables.Les soucis : - manque d'insonorisation entre les chambres - parking payant et l'environnement qui manque d'insécurité par rapport aux personnes qui viennent en voiture - les soucis "entre collègues" surtout pendant le service "petit déjeûner" - et les femmes de ménage qui frappent avant 10 heures aux portes limite on doit partir mais leurs sourires sont là

Litet badrum. Bra med lägenhetshotell då man kan äta medhavd frukost. Vi åt dock hotellets frukost i matsalen. Den var god, prisvärd och det var snyggt dukat!

Hotellet ligger mycket centralt , nära gamla stan och flygbussarna. Trevliga rum med pentry och balkong mot en lugn innergård. Extra plus för den lilla poolen på taket, skönt att ta ett dopp efter en dag på stan. Detta är definitivt ett av de mest prisvärda hotell vi har bott på när det gäller weekendresor och storstadshotell. Det enda negativa jag kan komma på är att badrummen är små och saknar hårtork.

Svært sentralt med kort vei bl.a.til gamlebyen, sjøen og busstasjonen Leiligheten ble rengjort hver dag og vi ikk daglig rene håndklær. Savnet stoler og bord ved bassenget på taket. God valuta for pengene.

Billig, bra beliggenhet, men elendig service og rengjøring. Vi fikk ikke rommet vi opprinnelig hadde bestilt, første dagen ble ikke rommet rengjort, det manglet titt og ofte rene håndklær og badet hadde til tider en guffen kloakklukt. Vi bor et annet sted neste gang vi er i Nice!

Toplage Nähe Altstadt und Busbahnhof. Studio mit Kochnische empfehlenswert vor allem für längere Aufenthalte

Il s'agit d'appartement sur le modèle de l'hotellerie. Pas cher et pratique, cette hotel est aussi très bien tenu.

Vi har bott 4 ggr på hotellet som är helt OK,nära till busstationen som tar oss runt på rivieran, nära till gamla stan och blomstermarknaden. Vi tycker bara att standarden i köket ha försämras under tiden, det är inte kompett längre, saknas glas bestick,skålar m.m.städning och rum är annars helt OK

Rimelig! Praktisk leilighet, hjelpsomme folk i resepsjon, sentral beliggenhet. Vi anbefaler gjerne dette hotellet!

Der Rezeptionsservice war überaus nett und zuvorkommend Das Zimmer zum Innenhof war sehr ruhig. Für einen Kurztrip ist dieses Hotel, bedingt auch durch seine Lage, bestens geeignet.

Bien situer, à 5 mn à pied de la vieille ville. appeler l'hôtel pour réserver votre parking. Le futur tramway passe à coté, un avantage incontestable.

Ich würde dieses Hotel sofort wieder buchen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Hotel optimal gelegen.
