Fenix Hotel - Roma

Bottom line: This is a very nice hotel that is remarkably reasonably priced for its quality in Rome. It's in a modern building but the interior and garden are charmingly old world with some boutique edgy touches. The guestrooms varied from interesting and quirky to pleasant and comfortable. There was a problem with the rooms on our first stay (weak A/C on the top floor in an August heat wave) that the staff dealt with by moving us to much larger but more worn rooms. On the second stay, the rooms were better than both sets on the first stay. The staff is very nice, friendly and highly competent. Among the best "included" breakfasts--food, setting (the garden) and service-- we've seen in Europe at moderately priced hotels. The hotel is not within walking distance of any of the sites of Rome, but there are frequent buses that stop almost in front of the hotel (and about which the staff dispenses clear information) and travel to the site-rich areas in 10-20 minutes--a small price to pay for a huge savings on rates and the quiet of a leafy residential neighborhood.

This was a great hotel. We stayed here for 5 nights. We had Room Service and it was very nice. The workers were very sweet and helpful. It is about 10 minutes from the nearest metro station, called bologna. This metro station can take you to the Colosseom, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc. This hotel is not close to these attractions at all. Like I said. The metro took us to all these places. You can pay for Internet. $5.00 euro for 24 hours. It was well worth it. They have computer by the desk that you can use but they only expect you to use it for checking mail and quick things. Like I said, this is a great hotel, great staff and very clean, but out of the way to major sites around Rome.

Wir waren leider nur drei Tage in Rom, können aber dieses Hotel absolut empfehlen, da es ein sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis bietet und nur 5 Minuten mit dem Bus (auch Nightliner Linie N4 direkt vor dem Hotel) vom Zentrum und Fontana di Trevi oder Spanischer Treppe entfernt liegt. Unser Zimmer war absolut sauber, das Bad neu renoviert und hatte auch einen Balkon (leider zur Straße). Die Kategorie SMART-Doppelzimmer bietet alles was der Kurzurlauber braucht zum top Preis (für Rom). Wir werden gerne wieder dort einchecken :-)

Hotellet ligget nära busshållplats, men för långt bort för att åka hem mitt på dan. Lagom stor frukostbuffé.

hyggeligt og chamerende. omgyggeligt rengøring. flot og rent hotel. god service. især da de sagde at jeg ikk skulle betale for de ting jeg vi havde drukke og spist fra mini baren. ( et par poser chips vand og øl) god morgen buffet. med god kaffe som bliver friskbrygge af en tjener.

Hotellet er et fint standardhotel. Det er utrolig rent og hotellets service er i top. Morgenmaden er rigtig god meed et fint udvalg. Der er elevator og personalet bringer bagagen op på værelset. Selve værelset var ikke så flot, men der var utrolig rent. Ved ikke, om indretning og standard ellers er pænere på dobbeltværelserne. Hotellet ligger ved busforbindelse lige til Termini (hovedbanegården) og ca. 10 min til metro. Man kan gå til seværdighederne, men det kan ikke anbefales med tanke på ens fødders velbefindende.

Prisvärt litet hotell i utkanten av Roms stadskärna. Vi tog många långa promenader i värmen. Servicen var kanon, frukostbuffén var jättegod med nygjord cappuccino. Mysig lummig trädgård. Över all förväntan! +++++
