Hotel Ambassador - Nice

Only one plug in the 2 plug wall socket for TV and Refrigerator was working so if the TV was plugged in, the fridge wasn't on. Very old, dated interiors, flaky paint, cupboard drawers/dresser was filthy, paint on window was chipped. Room was so small, couldn't open the door to the (separate) toilet and bathroom at the same time. One block from Les Promenades Des Anglais, 100 yards from the bus stop to the airport (4 Euros), 100 yards from restaurants, bars, cafes, grocery stores, ATMs, excellent location.

Great stay, we had a double room looking back to the mountains behind Nice. Its a 2 minute walk to the beach, and walking distance to all the restaurants in Nice. Great location, friendly staff who helped us with day trips to Monaco and Cap de' Antibes.

This is typical of Nice Hotel Standards. If it says 3 Star expect 1 1/2 star at the most. The rooms were clean. Bed was like a sheet of thin plywood. Hotel staff at checkin showed an unreasonable amount of intolerance to language barrier. I would not go back to this hotel although it was in a great location.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in july, It's central position being the main attraction.The weather was very hot but our room was cool and quiet allowing a good nights sleep. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is available but at 11 euros not good value so we didn't bother. I would certainly stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others

The staff was most accommodating but know ahead of time, this is a European Hotel. It is kept spotless, the bathroom was very nice but the room was small. We quickly became used to this as there is so much to do in the vicinity. Overall a very good experience.

Location to the beach was the best--one block away. Couldn't beat it for central location to cafes, fun shopping, and of course the beach. Room was ok--not great. I'd rate it a 5 (out of 10). Bathroom hasn't been updated since the 1940's. No lie. And it wasn't clean. Built up grime in corners, floors, etc. Ugh. We just tried not to look at it. Beds were likely from the 40's as well but clean sheets and towels.

This was a nice hotel; just 2 blocks from the Promenade and the Ruhl Casino---great location! Because it is a small hotel; it was pretty quiet in the evenings. The rooms are very small--once we brought in our luggage; it was difficult to move about the room, but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room so it was okay with us. No air conditioning in the month of May but surprisingly it was cool and comfortable.

Très bien situé, dans le centre ville et à 10 mn du vieux Nice et à 2 mn de la plage. Hotel très calme, propre et climatisé. Nous d'avons pas testé le Petit-déjeuner, car beaucoup de brasserie dans le rue piétonne propose des formules très complètes et pas cher et en terrasse !!

Das Hotel braucht dringend eine Renovation, besonders das Bad und der Aufzug.

dommage que nous avions vue sur un immeuble désaffectée avec des pigeons en état de décomposition mais nous avons évités de regarder dans cette direction malgré ça hôtel est bien situe

ne mérite pas ces 3 étoiles, état de délabrement de la salle de bain, moquette dans la chambre à la limite de propreté, se trouve devant la sortie d'un parking mais bon emplacement
