Best Miami Hotel - Miami

Unfortunately from the minute we stepped in we were off to a bad start. First, the a/c was about 60 degrees, which was leaking, felt like a freezer, odd moldy smell, and unstable bed, we had to be switched to another room. The second room was located in front to the icemaker and was sounding all night preventing us from resting and not to mention a door to the next door neighbor's connecting to our room, we heard their conversation's all night long. I was looking forward to the breakfast and what we found were pieces of cold bread slices with coffee (due to the recession as per the employee serving) long lines to get to one of the 2 small toasters. If you plan to travel with children make sure to be ready with juice and milk, as this hotel only serves coffee and bread! Finally we were switched to a third room due to the unimaginably horrific circumstances of the last two; this one was also leaking and had a moldy smell, oh and be ready to pay $7.50 a night for parking your vehicle as you are their guest. First and last for me not worth the aggravation, Days inn beats this hotel any day, poor customer service, poor maintenance, and unhygenic, bogus breakfast, extreme cold a/c temperatures temperatures, didn't feel like a vacation, DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. 2 nights & after the 1st night i couldn't cancel our stay as you had to pay for the 2nd night even if you cancel per hotels.com policy the clerk adviced.

It was fine for my two night stay. The room was clean and the staff was courteous. It was great having transportation from the airport and to the port of miami. Breakfast was only coffee and bread. That was somewhat disappointing, so be prepared to walk a few minutes to the restaurant near by. All in all a fair experience for the price.

I regretted to have booked this hotel the second we've stepped in our room. How can they call themselves a boutique hotel??? The best hidden secret of Miami?? Better nobody finds that secret out. The room was so little and so basic, the parquet floor looked like it had been cut with scissors. They have cut a piece of carpet to make it as an inside door mat. The mat was not even cut straight. Hairs in the shower. Both beds were unstable. Shower curtains were really old looking. I was glad we checked in late and had to leave early the next morning. This place is a dump.

There are very few frills in this hotel. It's basic and fine for a 1 night stay. 'Breakfast' is bread and coffee.

All of the front desk people were nice except for one. He was extremely rude. The rooms were decent, the area was good. I would recommend it and would definitely come back to stay.

A very good experience

I arrived there thinking it was a regular motel, but the architecture was beautiful with clean rooms and a gorgeous courtyard with a pool. TWO THUMBS UP!

very convenient, close to nice restaurants and shopping. great as an overnite stay. this was my second time here while tenting our house.

I found the hotel to need physical work inside the room (bad paint job, wood framing missing, bad toilet, terrible shower head, leaking water from ceiling). The hotel offered a Continental breakfast, this was toast and coffee. Did like the shuttle to Miami Port. Although is becoming a norm, do not enjoyed being charged for parking. The staff was not friendly at all. Overall I do not recommend this hotel.

Very large, nice front, nice pool. The rooms are a bit small and the beds are not the best, but it was cheap and comfortable. Staff is excellent and very professional and they have a free shuttle. I'd stay again.

since you arrival into the lobby you can smell a rare odor, the personal is not friendly at all, the gay in the front desk was talking to other people about was short in housekeeping personal. I had reservation for 2 days and I had to cancel once I arrival on to the room.

Hotel needs lots of maintenance work. Main elevator in lobby did not work. Bathroom light in room had to be cut on and off several times for light to come on. Continental breakfast was bread and coffee. No fruit or juice. On-site restaurant was unexpectedly closed. Pool was shut down for 2 days ? Rates were good and shuttle was timely.

If you're looking for an inexpensive one night stay, Best Miami is not bad. The shuttle to an from the airport and seaport is what I was looking for and got. The drivers and staff and guests were very friendly, but the overall condition of the hotel needs work.

I think this would be a nice hotel if some maintenance was done. The air conditioner leaked. The television was really old and the buttons were broken. The water was cold. The rooms are not inspected to make sure cleaning crew has the rooms finished before assigning it. The list goes on basically whoever owns this hotel has just let it go and just rents rooms. Would be helpful if they had a printer for the computer to print checkin boarding passes. The front desk people we responsive. I am sure a some point this was a wonderful hotel to visit and could be again.

To my surprise, this hotel exceeded my expectations by far. The nite staff (especially Pedro) was knowledgeable and able to recomend some fine dining establishments and points of interest. My only disappointment was the complimentary breakfast which consisted of coffee, juice and toast.

i dont know...if is good service but when mi control tv remote dont work, they only say we dont have batterys, and we dont know how to program to... I just ask for an busyness card and they don have to, they writhe the adress in an paper..and pass to me.!!!! the hotel need improvement en service and furniture, and renovations..!!

Our room, and the hotel in general, was in line with the rate that we paid for this two star hotel. It is an old Best Western hotel with the "Western" part of the sign taken down. The place needs fix-up and they appear to be working on it as we could smell the cut laminate wood being installed in other rooms. However, the craftmanship of the installation in our room was not the greatest. Our feet were filthy just from the floors in the room. The "continental breakfast" consisted of coffee, juice, and bread & butter. However, the beds were clean, there were no bugs, and the air conditioning was cold. We felt safe in the area and it was in short walking distance to the Sunset Drive open air shopping mall which was nice. Keep in mind that you have to add the $8/night parking charge to your room rate. It was nice for us though as the parking garage has access to the higher floors (we were on the third floor and parked almost at the door to our room) and is covered (to protect you from the typical Florida afternoon rains)

No continenetal breakfast..the only thing they had was bread,butter and coffee...the shower was also an expirience,not only was it dirty but water changes tempreture why you are showering...... they charge $8.00 parking and its not even secure parking...even though I had my parking fee waived.. Just wouldn'come back to this hotel unless they made serious changes

Honestly the place itself exceeded my personal expectation for the price i paid. It was quiet, old but clean, decent with friendly staff. I was there for two days with my wife and daughter during our miami escapade and on our way to key west.They even served a reasonable breakfast .Highly recommendable and safe with kids. Will come back again...

I stayed there 3 nights in June and to tell you it was very nice well kept staff was very friendly and helpful. They always smiled upon greeting and that says alot. Could have been closer to the restaurants and shopping in the area though, however just around the corner ther is this great little place for breakfast and lunch makes fantastic subs and salads. The hotel's restaurant was closed while we were there.

I was really pleased with: free shuttle from the airport, very pleasant helpful staff, short walk to downtown Miami metro, nice pool, clean room, computer for guests to access in hallway, very reasonable price.

Never expected to find a clean and nice hotel like this one. Rooms, service and location were great. I will definetely return to the hotel. Do not hesitate to reserve a room in here.

The room was well worth the money for the night. Parking was a bit of a joke, although the location of this hotel was right in downtown south Miami and near lots of things to do. I had called a cab to the front and it also was close to the cabby's headquarters, so that was an added plus during my stay here. Walls were thin although everything else about my stay was just grand :)

I stayed here several times before but this time I had a lot of problems with noise late at night from other guests adjoining my room. So much so that I got very little sleep my second night there. At my request they did move me to a different room the next day, which was great. All in all, it is a good room for the money.

i was surprised how good that place was with such a low price! as nice as on the pictures, hotel staff is kind, and they even serve breakfast!!! so i had a great time!!!

My only disappointment with this hotel is the breakfast offered, if you like good breakfast like me I would not recommend it, otherwise is a good deal for the price.

I got 2 rooms and one was in decent condition and the other one was really trashy. I couldn't get the air conditioning to turn off either, so I froze. You have to pay an extra ~$8 to park your car, but the garage is gated. The pool was nice.

Nice place for the price. I will definitely come back.

This was a great room for the money and it has a very convenient location. However, it was kind of noisy in the room,especially at night.

Rooms were in horrible shape. Staff what little there was, was rude and uncaring. Sheets needed to be replaced years ago. Elevators were broke. Only 3 out of 8 light bulbs worked. Neighborhood was horrible. Again staff was rude and didn't care about your business or request. Worst experience in years.

This hotel has potential to actually be a five star hotel and appears as if it was at one point in time. Serious renovation is needed. When you walk in the lobby it spells like mildew. The rooms smell like mildew, the bathroom door did not close, out of two beds, one was comfortable while the other had worn springs on it. The pool had a bar that was closed down (meaning out of business) the pool was ok but the water fall did not work, and peices of the cement from the water fall was falling apart. Staff was not very polite. The funniest part is they have a picture on the hotel on the room key...if you went by that alone, you'd be blown to see the actual hotel looks NOTHING like that hotel key LOL

Hotel is going through major restorations and remodeling. Not too many elevators were functional. The reception area gives you an uneasy impression the moment you walk in. And as for the rooms, they are clean and okay in comfort but are not sound proof at all. It's a cheap place to stay but if you want something that will give you more privacy and security its worth to pay a little more elsewhere.

great location and cheap but continental breakfast consisted of bread and apple juice only. elevators in main bldg not working for entire stay and told they hadn't been for sometime. noisy neighbor, walls paperthin. maintenance were hammering at 8:45 a.m. if you don't need much sleep it's ok.

A few things that you should be aware of: Parking costs additional. Breakfast is ONLY bread and juice. Only one elevator works. It is a shame, the hotel appears to have been very nice in its day, but now has more of a run-down feeling. Service was cordial at best.

But a few drawbacks: restaurant & bar (Bernie Kosar's) was closed down; piano bar closed down; no newspapers within...several blocks; and the 'continental breakfast' - it'd be best to say they have coffee downstairs and then we would be surprised with the bread. No kiddin'. The only substance provided to eat for breakfast was bread. Nice place though and I would stay there again. Small fridge in room so bring your own breakfast. No micro tho. Micro would've been good to have.
