Albert 1'er Hotel Nice, France - Nice

The best things in Albert 1'er Hotel are the location and there is AC. But the worst things are there is NOT iron in the whole hotel, No Mirror in the rooms, Not clean and Not comfort. In general, I think it is bad hotel.

This hotel was great and had an amazing location!! It was probably only a block, if that from the beach. In a great location, and although a tad loud if on the first floor over the bar, was great. I would most certainly return and recommend to anyone interested in a great hotel for a great price.

This is a budget hotel but if you want to see Nice at his best, the location is ideal. It is near the old city with his many restaurants and right next to the ocean. Once you park your car (3 or 4 parking garages available near by), you can walk anywhere or take the bus. The breakfast is 12 euros. It is a buffet. We went to get chocolate croissants down the street instead.

Albert 1'er benefits from a great location, but does not live up to it's claims as a great hotel. The staff are very nice, and the rates are very reasonable, perhaps even very good for the area, but this hotel fell well below our expectations. The rooms were very dated, the bed completely worn out, (I set a bag on the edge of the bed and in tumbled into the center of the bed because it was so old and beaten up.) The bathrooom was very dated, and although clean, didn't seem clean because of discolorations, stains, etc. As for the location, you can't get any closer to the beach and a great shopping and dining district. All of those things are within short walking distance, or can be easily accessed via the excellent transit system which stops right around the corner. We went in June, and the hotel was full of college aged kids on summer break. As such there was a fair amount of noise, but not anything that warranted a complaint to managment. There is also a pretty active bar at street level below the hotel that was active into late in the evening. Closing the windows to the room insulated the club and traffic noise very well. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay with a great location and don't care about a great in-room experience or any regular hotel amenities, then Albert 1'er may be a good choice. If you expect to have a very comfortable room for a pleasant place to relax and recharge, look elsewhere.

Room was clean and comfortable. A great location close to old Nice, "new" Nice and right on the beach/boardwalk. We had a great time - you can't go wrong with this hotel.

A little concerned at first - our room was located directly across the hallway from the lift but -- with the room layout - we never heard a sound. We had a little hallway with a separate "closet" for the toilet, then a rather large bathroom and then a sleeping area with a door to close everything off - Perfect! We had a Sea View room overlooking the park with the beach just a few hundred yards away. The weather was pleasant but we used the air conditioning at night for sleeping and it worked very well. Breakfast wasn't bad for the money - the coffee refills made it more than worth it for us although one morning, they were quite busy and we (and many others) had to wait quite a while to get it. Location was fantastic - we walked to everything - even the bus to airport. No need for expensive cab rides.

A very non-tourist hotel. Don't be put off by the entrance, the rooms are nice and the location is terrific. We were glad we upgraded to an ocean view, since the Meditterean at sunset is terrific.

I DON'T THINK THE UNITED STATES STAR SYSTEM IS THE SAME AS EUROPES SO EXPECTATIONS WERE DIFFERENT. THE LADY AT THE DESK WAS A LITTLE SHORT AND RUDE BUT EVERYTHING ELSE WAS ACCEPTABLE.

This place is coasting on location. The rooms are noisy and the decor is shabby to say the least. The wifi wasn't working and they forgot to give us towels. For the price it is not worth it. There are a lot of other nice hotels in this area, go find one.

bar vide, tv non satellite, ascenseur en panne, pas de balcon et pas de vue sur la mer, cela fait chère pour si peu.

An excellent location between the Vieille Ville (Old Town) and Central Nice, as well as proximity to the beach makes this hotel very well worth its cost. Hotel is somewhat worn and a little rough around the edges but rooms are clean, and the staff is very friendly. We booked a room with a "sea or garden view" and got a very small balcony overlooking the park and with the sea glittering to the left, which was lovely. Never tried the breakfast since there are plenty of good breakfast offers in the nearby Old Town.

Hyggelig betjening, topp beliggenhet for turer, ok pris. Noe lytt mellom rommene.

Très bel hôtel, le personnel est agréable, les chambres sont jolies, les salles de bain spatieuses. L'hôtel est idéalement situé, très près de la promenade des Anglais, à deux pas du vieux Nice, juste devant la place Masséna et au milieu de jardins superbes ! Des fenêtres à double vitrage procurerai un peu plus de calme.

Hôtel très bien situé à Nice, face à la mer, tout proche du casino Ruhl et du vieux Nice...Côté situation, c'est parfait. Cependant, côté chambre et confort, c'est vraiment très moyen, un peu vieux et sans aucun confort. Bref, une adresse à garder pour la situation géographique, à oublier si l'on rechercher confort et modernité.

Sono diversi anni che quando dobbiamo andare a nizza per motivi di lavoro o di svago scegliamo l'Albert I. In primo luogo per la sua posizione centrale, poi per il rapporto qualità/prezzo, spesso reso ancor più vantaggioso dall' 'offerte' (sconti praticati in certi periodi dell'anno). Inoltre il personale è veramente gentile e disponibile, le camere sono spaziose, tranquille e luminose, la pulizia ineccepibile
