Threadneedles Hotel - Londres

I booked this hotel after recommendation from my daughter. The reception was well staffed and welcoming although I was surprised not to be offered assistance with opening the heavy main door to enter/exit the hotel. I was disappointed not to receive my booked my early morning. The shower temperature did not reach more than tepid. The room itself, although smaller than what I expected, was well furnished and clean and the bed very comfortable. As a lone female traveller, I felt safe in the hotel. I would not choose this hotel for longer than a one/two night stay in London as it was expensive to stay and the breakfast at nearly £20 was too pricey.

Excellent hotel to stay in London financial quarter. Restaurants and pubs are nearby. The Bank tube station is kind of across the street from the hotel door.

Booked the hotel as a birthday present for my girlfriend. I was a bit concerned about the hotel being in a quiet part of the town but it's very well comunicated and it's only 5 minutes by taxi to the west end. The room was big and comfortable with elegant and warm style. The bathroom was really nice, even though i wouldnt mind a bigger bath. The ipod speakers were great to set the mood for my romantic night... It was a lovely stay at this hotel and deffinitely recommend this place for a weekend to anyone!

Beautiful room and lovely little hotel hidden away. Staff very friendly and polite - couldn't do enough for you. Very well situated for our visit to the Cermeony of the Keys at the Tower of London.

Great location in the financial district, quick access to the Liverpool Station/Stansted Express. Great copola, small boutique feel. Good food, quite. Not frilly. All business.

Hotel and staff were outstanding; very friendly and accomodating service. However, we were told that there was no breakfast included, which when we ordered proved to be quite pricey. We were told that if we had reserved with the hotel itself, breakfast would have been free but because we booked with an outside organization, it was not included. Also hotel did not include a spa, swimming pool or workout room.

We liked this place. The location is good, the lobby is impressive and for our weekend trip was wonderfully calm, though of course the City itself is calm at weekends. The room was spacious and well-furnished. Staff were attentive and courteous. Two gripes. The cost of the films seemed a bit over the top. And the ventilation system might need attention. We returned to our room after Friday night out to find a strong smell of fags. Yuk! We'd turned the AC off when we went out, cos who needs it in February? My guess is that the vent might come out near one of those sorry gaggle of smokers you see huddled outside offices and pubs. Who knows? But the response of reception when I reported this was just as it should be: our room was switched without any fuss and all was well. And reception apologised again as we checked-out two days later. So we had a good stay, and can commend this focus on our needs. I would say this hotel is good value for a weekend stay.

Many boutique hotels exist purely to skim as much cash from guests as possible on the pretence of offering a 'designer experience' (whatever that is), by offering a premium for a strategically placed downlit flower arrangement and a flat screen in the lobby, coupled with surly impersonal service and cramped poorly considered accommodation. Threadneedles Hotel however is a genuine boutique hotel which has been assembled from the fabric of its origins as a marbled bank with skill and really captivating attention to detail. I took my girlfriend for the weekend for a 5 star London hotel experience without the chintz or impersonal approach to customer care that you can take for granted in London hotels at every level. All I would urge is that you arrive to check in as early as possible to enjoy the place, as it really is a great hotel to just catch up with yourself, and frankly, how many London hotels can really boast that?

Physically, the relatively newly constructed hotel is in good shape. The location in the City also is efficient. The concierge and desk service, however, is among the worst I have experienced. Among other things: the concierge was unable to identify a nearby barber, a tailor (for simple mending), or comparable service providers; when requested, the response was that the concierge staff could "look on the internet" for theatre tickets; and when a recommendation was sought in the neighborhood for a comfortable pub for a beer, the concierge could not identify one. Moreover, the rooms (for the price) are cramped in comparison with comparably priced hotels around the world. Finally, and if you stay here, check your bill before you sign-off. Duplicate charges are difficult to correct from overseas, and I thankfully addressed them before departing.

Veldig imponeredne hotell, gode fasiliteter, god service. Ingen ting å sette fingeren på.

Fraai hotel met imposante lobby en indrukwekkend vormgegeven. Het hotel is in een oud pand gecombineerd met moderne inrichting en designmeubels. Heel smaakvol. De kamer heeft geen openslaande ramen. Slapen met airco heeft niet onze voorkeur. Het grote bed was perfect evenals flatscreen. Zelfs een extra flatscreen in de badkamer. Het hotel heeft een restaurant gedeelte en een bar. Het restaurant wederom erg fraai, schitterend hoog plafond maar op vrijdagavond om 21.00 toch erg leeg voor zó'n grote ruimte. Doordat er weinig rechtstreeks daglicht binnenkomt in het restaurant en lobby heb je bijna geen idee wat zich buiten het hotel afspeelt, dat is welliswaar persoonlijk, maar geeft een soort opgesloten gevoel. Dit is niet een hotel waar ik graag een week zou blijven.

Zimmer war etwas klein, dafür war das Badezimmer fast genauso groß, wie das Schlafzimmer, mit Badewanne und riesiger Dusche, ganz in Marmor. Bett war ausgezeichnet, wir haben hervorragend geschlafen.

It´s a nice Hotel but it`s no service, we wait every day 30 minutes that we can order a coffee...??
