Emporio Reforma - Mexico - Mexico City

So quite rooms that you can not hear street traffic on reform. The location was great but encounterd a bit of traffice due to insurgentes crossing reforma because both streets are major streets. location was perfect and the hotel has class. old but done well.

I was really happy with making the choice to stay at this hotel. I stayed at a lot of hotels in my travels, and I think this is the best one for the price that I have stayed at. The condition of the hotel and room was great. The location is perfect. I would really recommend this hotel for your stay in Mexico City.

Though the staff was friendly and attending. The one thing we did not care for was being questioned every other day if I was a guest there ? or in what room number we were staying in. The front desk seemed to be forgetful as to who was staying there. Also, the breakfast buffet that was purchased with this package was not discounted at checkout-time, causing confusion when trying to settle your account in turn causing a fiasco when paying the final bill due. The supervisor at the front desk seemed to be quite forgetful. The room should of been quite larger for this "standard room" rate. The air-conditioning did not function properly.

The hotel location is gr8 and the hotel was very good value for money. THe rooms are quite small but it serves the purpose. THe staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

This hotel was very nice and a good value. I would have preferred to be a little closer to the historic distric, but it was still very centrally located.

Good, clean hotel in an excellent location within walking distance of restaurants and sightseeing, i.e., Chapultepec Park and Paseo de la Reforma. The staff is uniformly helpful and ready with good tips on nearby eateries and day trips in and around the city.

The Emporio Reforma was an outstanding hotel for the price. Excellent Location with lots of great sites to see.

The hotel is situated within walking distance of the main tourist sites and Metro stations are within approx 6 - 8 blocks. The staff were friendly and the hotel is in good condition. I was happy walking around Mexico City (which has a strong police presence) during the day and never felt threatened in any way, but chose not to walk at night since it's not too well lit. However the restaurant is really good, providing excellent meals with quality service, so I could relax in the evenings and plan the following day's activities.

Very pleasant hotel, nice decor, and very helpful staff. The location was convenient to many shops, restaurants, and attractions. The restaurant was nice, and the food was good, although a bit too casual of style and decor for the prices they charge. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and very nice, the bed was very comfortable, and the flat panel tv was a nice touch. Additionally, between the hotel having implemented several "green" and environmentally friendly technologies throughout the hotel, and the convenience of the cafe/coffee shop on the first floor, I felt both modern and responsible about staying there. I will definitely consider this hotel for any future stays in Mexico City.

I travel for a living. Do not stay here. The rooms are small but do-able. THE STAFF IS VERY RUDE AND WILL NOT HELP YOU!!

The standard hotel rooms are quite small but very comfortable, and they all feature flat screen TV and jacuzzi. This is a perfect place to stay for one or two nights when traveling for business in Mexico City. I would not recommend the standard rooms for a couple on romantic vacation or for an extended business trip though, for their small size. Better to upgrade for a suite in that case - the rate is a bit higher but still very affordable. The hotel location is also perfect, as it is on Reforma avenue, near a small mall and close to Zona Rosa. Food quality is very good with decent prices.

I was not sure from the website about what I thought about this hotel until we arrived. It was not as close to the metro station as we would have liked, but it was in a nice part of downtown Mexico City and it was within walking distance to the many restaurants and pubs in La Zona Rosa. The hotel staff was amazing -- we had a group of American girls that relied a lot on their services, and they were always nice and willing to help! The room was clean and modern, and we we were lucky enough to have three balconies looking over the street. The restaurant in the hotel was also delicious and had very friendly service. Overall, the hotel was cultural yet modern, and I will definitely stay there when I go back to Mexico City!

This is the business area of town so is very ncie. EAsy to hop a metro bus to get to hostorico centro- just a 3 peso ride and about 5 inutes, or you can catch it the other way to get to the zoo and anthropological museum. Room and service were very nice.

Overall good hotel, however, not pleased that I did not get the bath towels replaced until I brought it to the concierge's attention. Also, did not get the lotion replenished with a new one. The iron we were supplied with was great, however, the ironing stand was on its last leg & I had the iron fall over a couple of times. The scale in the bathroom did not work, but may be that was a good thing seeing how much we ate. On that note, their breakfast buffet was good. We also tried their room service & was not pleased with the quality of the beef in the dish that contained the three different chili sauces as it was quite tough. Their chicken consomme was tasty. The location of the hotel was good, although it would have been nice to have been closer to a Metro stop since the Hidalgo stop was a few blocks away. The hotel staff was overall quite friendly & helpful, although on one ocassion, the concierge assisted another guest who had arrived to the counter after me. Overall, would recommend & would stay here again.

I was a little afraid about visiting Mexico City based on all the negative press its gotten, but the hotel left me with a great experience of my visit to the city. I would definetly recommend this hotel to anyone. The beds were amazing, I probably slept more comfortably than in my bed at home!

We really didn't expect much from our stay at the Reforma. According to the information about the hotel, it's a 3 star and the pictures looked outdated, but it looked decent enough for our short stay in Mexico City. However,to our delight, the hotel was clean, cute and quaint. The photos didn't do it justice at all. Also, the staff was very friendly, helpful and very accomodating and multilingual.

We stayed there for 3 nights in all for holidays. We found hotel's apparence and room both very nice. Service is good and they organise nice guided tour around for quite reasonable price.Location is so and so, meanining that the area is quite safe, it is not far away from the historical centrum (30 minuts walking) but, as the city is quite dangerouse, especially in the night,next time I would take a more central hotel..otherwise you have to take taxi all the time to go out in the evenings (be careful with taxi in mexico city, don't stop them in the street but ask the hotel or the restaurant to call them)

The restaurant on the second floor is excellent; breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of our food experience in Mexico City. On the other hand, the service was quite sketchy. The reception staff's English was lacking at times, and the room service frequently ignored the "do not disturb" sign. Due to a miscommunication at the check-in we spent half of our stay in a smaller room than we had prepaid, and it took quite a few trips to the reception desk to get us what we were entitled to. The location is good but not exceptionally so---a 10-15-minute walk from the nearest metro station, and somewhat remote from most interesting sites.

You can really tell that the owner(s) of this hotel really paid attention to the details of the hotel at all levels. From the LCD flat screen TVs, comfortable bed, iPod docks, very courteous and professional staff.

This hotel is amazing, I cant believe its only three stars. The room was prefectly clean everyday we were there, the bed was the most comfortable ive ever had at a hotel, the service was spectacular, it had a massive flat screen tv and was one of the cheapest in the city! Visiting there again definately! :)

The Hotel was in a great location, it was within walking distance of some good resturants and must see sightseeing spots. The staff was helpful courteous and always visable. The problem was a horrific odor that lasted the majority of our weeks stay. Staff put an air purifier in the bathroom but, it didn't do much to eliminate the offensive smell. The last couple of days it was better but, the lingering smell was still there.

It is a good hotel to stay. Good price,good service and great location

Great Service, very friendly. The restaurant is great! Very clean and very nice. I will stay again next year. Location is perfect. Front desk, excellent service and very friendly.

They have an smaller bed than full and they call it doublebed. This kind of space is just for a single because the room is very small. Be carefull when you choose this option thinking it means two single or full beds for two.

If you get a room with a single queen bed, they will only place one bottle of water. So if there are 2 people int he room, only one gets the bottle. Room did not have the key to the mini bar and the front desk could not get me a key till the next morning. No one bothered to check again on whether we still needed the key. Hotel restaurant (upstairs) is excellent. Aztec Lasagna very good.

for example openning the room door before knocking or wake-up call to the wrong room[mine]

The linens were unbelievably wonderful. The poeple at the desk coul not have been more friendly or helpful. The chief bellman was something else. He was ever "Johnny on the spot." The restaruant was lovely with good food, at reasonable prices and excellent service. The hotel was big enough to be effective and small enough to make one feel comfotable.

I love that hotel evry time i go to Mexico city i stay in that one...best location, best price...room are a little bit to small, otherwise it's great

Les chambres ne sont pas très grande mais ce n'est pas très grave. L'hotel est bien situé à 15 minutes à pied du centre ville. Attention, en ce moment il y a la construction jour et nuit du nouveau parlement Mexicain

tout est impeccable , chic, petit déjeuner très bien servit comme j'aime , thé servit dans une théière avec de l'eau chaude en plus à part comme il se doit, hôtel très bien placé merci et bravo

Trés bon accueil. Pas de bruit dans la chambre, l'insonorisation est trés bonne. Les chambres standards double sont un peu petites mais l'hotel est bien situé, au coeur de la ville. Bon service de taxis. Bon petit déjeûner pas cher, formule buffet bien, mais attention!! le mexique produisant l´'un des meilleurs cafés au monde, il faut qu'il soit mieux préparé. il est trop, trop léger. Un seule remarque importante: en partant, j'ai dû demander le garcon, par téléphone, deux fois afin de descendre les bagages, la 1ere j'ai attendu un peu plus de dix minutes, il m'a dit ne pas avoir été prévenu par le réceptionniste la 1ere fois.
