Andaz Liverpool Street - a Hyatt Hotel - Londres

The hotel is a a little strange in that it doesn't really have a reception, just staff with laptops - which took some getting used too! there are no signs for reception or concierge so if the staff don't make it to you, you could assume there isn't any... the lobby is a bit dark and foreboding, and whilst you might sit in other hotel lobbies and watch the world go by, this doesn't happen here... the rooms were nice, but not overly fabulous - the remote didn't work (twice), but was replace, and sink was blocked (but again sorted out quickly)... the plumbing is very noisy (that couldn't be changed..) overall it was nice, but a bit sterile and austere... not sure i would stay again, unless i got a really good deal, as location is excellent!

A chic modern hotel with spacious well equipped rooms. Attentive staff from check in until departure. This is a 5 star hotel so its not cheap to eat and drink there. I found a 24 hour eaterie across the road from the station in Bishopsgate where I had a great breakfast for under 6 pounds (20 in the hotel). Nevertheless, I recommend this hotel highly.

First impressions were good, I was offered a complimentary drink and the service was exceptional. Overall, an excellent hotel at a reasonable cost.

Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is well located and has good restuarants. My only gripes are that the views from the windows are mainly of other buildings currently being built and that the waterworks/plumbing are very noisy. Would use the hotel again, mainly because of the good quality and great location.

This hotel ticks all the boxes for quality, service and style. Only drawback , check in tiime is 3pm and for our stay it was nearly 4pm by the time our room was ready. Otherwise we cant fault it.

This s a good hotel, decent bars, friendly staff and good bedrooms. The one thing which I assume is supposed to look swanky and different as well as state of the art is the odd check-in with a few people at a table with laptops! It seemed to have the opposite effect whilst I was there waiting with other guests.....took bleedin' ages and almost irrtated me before I'd got to my room. Everything else (apart from teh free bottles of water in the fridge which I couldn't drink because the tops couldn't be removed, it was a good place to stay; if a little over-pricd

Really enjoyed this hotel as our base for a family break, convenient for sights and safe, would ,and hope to return!

Amazed to be greeted personally, very nice large room, slightly old bathroom but very comfortable. LCD tv, complimentary small minibar, excellent restaurant. Went for a drink in the adjoining British Pub, very clean and friendly. Amazing furnishings all around, and very personal decor, not your run of the mill. Will definiately stay again.

Stayed at the hotel for one night. Rooms very clean and spacious, free mini bar was topped up almost immediately. Great atmosphere. Great location.The only small gripe was the room smelled of smoke slightly and when we arrived we were not informed of any of the facilities or dining rooms and times. however this is being slightly pickey and I would definately stay again.

The hotel is okay, good even if you consider the quality of the furnishings and the facilities (which really are excellent). It's really head and shoulders above the competition in the area. However, they need a bit of work: - The internet doesn't work. It keeps spawning new windows every 30 seconds, making it impossible to complete an email (for example). - The concierge could use some training (had a hard time giving out directions by tube to a fairly obvious landmark). I also didn't get a wake up call (as it was my first time in the hotel, I used my phone as a backup). - There was no mobile coverage in my courtyard view room. This meant I had to use the hotel phone. They tried to charge me 18 GBP for a 5 minute phone call - absolutely outrageous. I balked, and they backed down. But it really left a bad taste in my mouth. The 1901 bar is actually quite good - the cocktails are impressive. If this place smoothed out the rough edges, I would stay here much more often. Overall, I really liked the hotel and would stay there again - if they fixed the internet and phone problems.

I booked into the Andaz for two nights as I wanted somewhere to relax and work in peace. It was a very good choice. The hotel itself has everything that you may need and the staff were very polite and attentive. As it is situated next to Liverpool St Station, if you want to avoid paying £5 for a coffee, you can always nip into one of the many coffee places in the station and be back in your room in a matter of minutes. The gym is nicer than many hotel gyms and the treatment rooms also looked great, although I didn't get to indulge in any treatments. I would definitely recommend if you want to relax in a tranquil setting.

We booked this hotel because of its location as we enjoy going to the Markets in the area. Yes it was a treat and a bit pricier than other hotels. Its easy to find, right opposite an M&S so handy for nibbles. The staff are welcoming and very acomodating. Our room was a standard queen, not massive by any standards, but extremely comfortable and perfect for 2. The fixures and fittings are of a high standard. We didn't splash out on expensive room service as there are lots of restaurants in the area. But do check before you travel as some are close on a weekend. Catch the tube or bus into the city, its about 15 minutes on the bus depending on traffic, but its practically stops outside the hotel. Well worth a stay if you are after a luxury, comfortable room that you plan to spend a bit of time in.

Together with my daughter I visited London for some sightseeing and shopping. The Andaz Hotel is close to the underground/train station Liverpool Street and is therefore ideally located for our purpose. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is excellent. The room is also quite nice. The only drawback is that it is not really possible to adjust the temperature more than +/- 3 degrees w.r.t . the 'default' average temperature. Personally I prefer a cold room (also in december). But overall the place is very much ok.

Great price for a 5 star hotel. Spacious Clean rooms. The best part - ask to see the Masonic Temple on the 1st floor - it's very interesting!

Outstanding personnel,service and amenities.

From the moment we arrived, it was relaxing and luxurious. Knowledgeable and helpful staff, not in your face but there if you needed them. Clean, spacious open areas. Modern, fresh decor with great art works dotted around. We opted for a Queen room, decent size bed with everything there you would need - and exceptionally clean and well kept. No complaints here, even provided us with complimentary umbrella as we left and the weather had turned for the worse!

This hotel has a relaxed atmosphere,which starts with the slightly unusual reception area.which does not have a member of staff hiding behind a reception desk. The staff that we dealt with were friendly & extremely helpful.The only complaint was that there is no hair-dryer in the rooms,although not a problem for some of us!The hotel is wonderfully placed for Liverpool street station & underground.

On the plus - the rooms are gorgeous - very modern, clean and spacious. Fruit Drinks and water in the mini bar is provided free of charge and the rooms were really quiet. On the minus, Entrance to the hotel is very bland with no atmosphere. The staff weren't exactly buzzing with friendliness. Two of the three lifts were broken for our stay, leaving us to wait up to 10 minutes for a lift to come and then you were lucky if you could fit in.

Very simple to summarise, hotel accomodation and surroundings extemely satisfactory. Modern in decor, fresh and clean. The biggest letdown is the breakfast service, whilst the food is ok the wait makes this an arduous experience. If time is on your side and you want to read the morning paper then this is for you. Sort the breakfast service and its scores 5 in every area!

I visited this hotel with my 8 yr old son, as a base to take him to see some of the sights of London. The hotel is very stylish and modern, a change from my previous visit in 1975. The room we had was clean, well proportioned and very comfortable. The complimentary organic juices were a nice touch too. The staff were very friendly and helpful, whilst avoiding the intrusions one sometimes finds. It is very convenient for a whole range of attractions in London, and, with Liverpool St tube being on the central line, the West End is accessible too. Highly recommended.

All good, service was excellent right from check in which was hassle free. Rooms good size and very well set out, bed was a delight. Mini bar was extortionate but they always are i suppose and there was no tea or coffee in the room which when have a hangover is a pain but nothing which would make me not choose hotel again. Ideally located as was busy on fri night when wanted to get around local area and sample the drinking establishments and quieter when all city workers left for their homes in the country easy to get into west end if desired and quick walk to tower hill and the river was good head clearer. Sweet.

hotel and room was good, but on day of ceckout the toilet blocked up, breakfast was cold and the shower suddenly gave nothing but hot water causing me to slip and injure myself trying to get out

The Great Eastern is a fantastic, contemporary hotel in the Financial district of London. The icing on the cake is its wonderful weekend rates. Seriously good value for a hotel of this caliber! Recommended

Dés que vous arrivez, ils vous proposent des boissons, des fruits. Chambre super grande, très belle salle de bain. Petit plus : une enceinte Bose recevant iPod. Enfin, très bien placé : 3 lignes dispos sur Liverpool Street.

Ayant eu l'opportunité d'avoir un tarif exceptionnel en période de week-end estival (la City est vide à ce moment là), j'ai choisi de séjourné à l'Andaz hôtel. L'hôtel est réellement superbe, très moderne, pas spécialement romantique, plutôt "design" et fonctionnel. Les chambres sont très propres, le lit extrèmement confortable. La salle de bain également super design. Le mini bar contient des jus de fruits, snacks et eau minérale gratuits (sympa). Belle tv lcd. Bureau prêt à accueillir un ordi... Quelques remarques cependant : attention aux frais liés aux appels téléphoniques internationaux, c'est 10 livres mini, même si vous appelez 1 minute vers un fixe en France. Le bruit des sanitaires est également génant : les chasses d'eau fonctionnent par aspiration, genre avion, ce qui génère d'importants bruits à tout heure du jour... et de la nuit. Petite anecdote : l'équipe de l'Atletico de Madrid était également présente dans l'hôtel pour disputer un tournoi de foot...

Hotel modernissimo alla reception e come allestimento camera. Difficoltà riscontrata nell'impostare le temperatura e la ventilazione(rumorosa) in camera per mancanza di istruzioni. Manca segnaletica per raggiungere i ristoranti abbiamo sempre dovuto chiedere al personale e raggiungere i ristoranti passando dall'esterno.
