Best Western Hotel Roosevelt - Nice

Good points: Central location, polite and very helpful staff, well air-conditioned and clean rooms. The bad points: The bed was extremely hard which made the sleeping a nightmare. We had to put the extra blanket on the matrass to make the bed a liitle bit softer. There were only 2 English TV channels - MTV and European News channel. Event the French channels were very limited. The door key controlled the electricity and having only one key meant that the fridge was off when we were outdoors.

This hotel is located near the main Massena square, not too far from the main bus station (Gare Routiere), which is handy for nipping around the Cote d'Azur, ten mins to the Vieux Nice (Old Town) for the best local restaurants. It's also next to a yummy little ice cream and biscuits shop (try the lavendar sorbet) and nice little shoe shop. It's clean, the service is friendly, there's a handy computer to check your emails, but if you want individual charm and sea views, choose somewhere else.

The hotel was in a really good position for transport, shopping and eating out. It was clean and the staff were helpful. The room was a little bit on the small side and the airconditioning was not very cool. A bonus was a tea/coffee tray in the room plus free coffee and pastries in the hotel foyer. A lot of shops in the area were very expensive --- loved Lollipops (shoes, bags, accessories) which was having a half price sale! Also a gorgeous bakery in the next street for croissants etc for breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a nice hotel with outstanding service in a great location. Rooms are comfortable, nicely appointed and clean. Personnel service is very friendly. We will definitely book our next stay in Nice at this hotel.

This hotel is located close to the Premenade De Anglais, which is a long avenue along the beautiful Nice beach and if you go sraight when you go out you will find the beautiful shops and nice places to eat. Hotel is clean, but not fancy, just a normal decent place to sleep. Don't miss the Russian Church. I highly recommend the double decker, if you don't speak French, it will drop you off at the main places, no need to ask anybody, you will see everything, the drivers understand English. You will see it next to the Beach NICE LE GRAND TOUR, it stops every half an hour at regular bus stops, even if you don't see a sign, pay as you get in, you can cath it at the train station SNCF GARE NICE VILLE as well. 23 EUROS ($30USD) for 2 days. Make sure you go to the flower market COURS SALEYA before noon. To go to the train station GARE SNFC NICE-VILLE from the hotel take the tram (go to the left when yo exit the hotel) it's a couple of stops, but you'll see the rails above you, you can also walk (about 5-7 blocks). You can take the train to Monaco for about $10 USD and the train does not say Monaco, it says VENTIMIGLIA, however when you get to Monaco the stop says MONACO-MONTECARLO. It takes 15 minutes, it's very close, no need to stay in Monaco, if you don't want to spend a lot of money. It will cost you twice as much, I paid $350 usd for one night at the Port Palace, the hotel is very nice and fancy in front of the port, where you see all the expensive yachts. Go to the castle where the Prince lives, make sure you go inside is $11 USD, but it is very beautiful and visit the cathedral which is a 1 minute walk and that's where they buried Grace Kelly. Visit EZE the medieval town, not to be missed, but you need an extra day for this, you won't have enough time in one day.

The Roosevelt is a good, clean and comfortable hotel in a central location, making for a really enjoyable stay in Nice. All attractions are within easy reach and the hotel offers great value for money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nice.

The 2 things that went wrong with this hotel was that although there was air conditioning in the rooms, they were not activated in May. Therefore we had to leave the windows open and the street side is VERY noisy. You must ask for a room at the back to avoid the noise. Even with the windows open it was too warm at night to sleep comfortably. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and the location was ideal. I would just have to stay at a better hotel the next time.

Very well situated in the next street to most restuarants. Reception staff spoke very good English and were very helpful. Would definitely recommend it to our friends.

The hotel is situated in a quiet location within walking distance of the seafront. The staff were helpful and service efficient.

The free internet service is great. Room is big, clean and comfortable. However, the big rooms for more than 2 persons are all facing the streets, noise was the only problem to me. Also, most rooms have not been installed with the Shower Curtain in the bathroom that you have to request. (I had stayed in three different kinds of rooms, from 3 persons to 2 persons, for eight days) Otherwise, the bathroom floor will be wet easily unless you have special skills. The staff are very friendly. Overall, I am satisfied.

The hotel was in a central location, close to shops, restaurants, main street and old town. Staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel because you can find cheaper outside. Room wasn’t big but clean with French doors, air conditioning and fridge. I would advise to take a bus €1 or a train €3 to go to Monaco or Cannes. You can get to the hotel from the airport buy bus 98 €4 (ask Information centre)

Hotel was clean and staff were all helpfull, rooms were clean and smart but the beds were rock hard!! the bathrooms were dated although did the job... think we got a good deal as nice is expensive on the whole. Location was good 5 mins to retaurants/ bars 10 mins to rail station. all in all good base for a few days but would have needed my back seen too from the beds if we stayed longer.

My wife and I stayed here on vacation. It was a 20 minute walk from the train station, many restaurants within 4 to 6 blocks, a short walk to Old Nice. Friendly staff, everyone spoke English (I have no French so I appreciated that), and a good location.

The Hotel was ideally situated & everything was literally a 5min walk! The staff were fantastic, ready to help & frindly, we had come for a concert & they sorted out transport details for us + we missed our flight and were extremeley helpful when I phoned from the UK. the rooms are basic but very clean & even though on a main road you could not hear traffic. I would recomend this hotel & would stay there again!

Ideal location for exploring Nice and close to Train station for further a field. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful and was a perfect base. Not a luxury hotel as no lounging facilities or high end dining facilities but it is not needed as within 100M there are many quality eateries and pavement cafes.

Du får bra valuta för pengarna, dock är inte frukosten värd de 12 Euro som den kostar per dag om den inte ingår med rummet. Rummen är ganska små, men fräscha. Trevlig och serviceinriktad personal. Hotellet ligger nära till tågstationen och huvudgatan samt nära till vattnet. Ett billigt och bra val.

Very nice Hotel with pleasent staff. Good central location. You get a nice room and clean hotel. Eleavator, refriguator, air-con, hair-dryer. The have a parking deal with close by parking house, 10 Eur/24H. Only bad thing to say is the room size, we got a very small room (you where not able to walk around the bed, without bending under the desk in the room).

Ich kann dieses Hotel wirklich empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind zwar nicht besonders groß dafür aber ansprechend eingerichtet und vor allem sauber. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und stand für Fragen zur Verfügung. Hervorragend ist die Lage des Hotels. Alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in kürzester Zeit zu erreichen.

Blev virkelig overrasket over standarden af et hotel i økonomiklassen; utrolig serviceminded personale, gode store værelser samt badeværelser, gode senge, meget stille og roligt og super beliggenhed. Alt i alt over standarden for et hotel i denne prisklasse.

For a long weekend in Nice, this is a good hotel, situated halfway between the train station and the Mediterranean. The rooms are a bit on the small side, and you can find breakfast in town for cheaper than 12 euro/day the hotel charges, but the staff was friendly and efficient and the experience positive overall.

Ett mycket bra hotell speciellt förhållande pris/kvalitet. Specialerbjudanden i lågsäsong. Nyrenoverat och frächt. Tillgång till internet uppskattas. Personalen tillmötesgående och trevlig. Internetbokning har alltid fungerat mycke bra. Enda negativa: Hissen liten och bara en. Endast 1 person med väskor får plats. Vissa dubbelrum kanske något små. Annars toppen.

Medelklasshotell som ligger på promenadavstånd till Promenade de Anglais och Blomstertorget. Lugn omgivning och möjlighet till parkering i närliggande garage. Vi valde bort frukosten som inte kändes prisvärd och gick på ett lokalt kafé i stället. Tyvärr hade de stängt av AC'n när vi var där i oktober trots att det var 25 grader utomhus. Inga sällskapsutrymmen att tala om, men det är nära till trevliga uteserveringar i stället. Tillmötesgående personal i receptionen.

angenehme, aufgeschlossene Rezeption. renovierte Zimmer, relativ ruhig. Doppelzimer nach hinten zum Hof sehr klein Nach vorne komfortabel. Vermittlung zu Ausflugszielen mit Kleintransporter nicht ratsam, da unangenehme Fahrt und mäßige Führung.
