"Good location"

Well located and centrally placed hotel. Room recently decorated, adequately sized with good standard bathroom with toiletries provided. Good air conditioning able to sleep with it on its lowest setting. Good adequate breakfast waitresses replenished food and cleared tables quickly and efficiently. Good drinks machine which dispensed good coffee and hot ( yes hot) water for tea. 2 bars restaurants next to hotel. Only 10m or so from main shopping street, 5 mins from main square and the promenade. will certainly return to hotel and Nice, plenty to do and see in the area. Hotel was good value for money.

The staff at the hotel were helpful and with the poor exchange rate we found ourselves on a tight budget. We were not real comfortable with turning key in at front desk when we went out, but I guess that is a european tradition.

An excellent hotel, with extremely helpful and friendly staff, Hotel Boreal is centrally located, in a quiet street only a minutes walk however from the main drag, Avenue jean medecin. Post Office, pharmacy and mini-market virtually on your doorstep, plus two restaurants adjacant to the hotel where you can relax after (or before) sight-seeing.

Hotel was excellent and the staff were very helpful. Room was not the biggest but good condition. I would definitely go back and considering the prices in Nice it was very good value for money

The staff here were great - very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean - in need of a little updating but very quaint, cosy and comfortable! Great location too - only 15 mins walk from the sea and the old town. Breakfast is nothing more than a croissant and some cereal but not so important there is a bakery just down the road. Would highly recommend!

The Hotel Boreal certainly isn't the most luxurious hotel in Nice but it is clean, comfortable, the staff could not be friendlier (their English is excellent), and the location is superb. It is situated on a quiet street which is also home to a couple of nice restaurants. And despite its relative peace it is only a few yards away from the Avenue Jean Medecin - the city's main shopping street. This is thoroughfare runs from the magnificent Place Massena - with the seafront just beyond - and Nice's main railway station and the main tourist office. It is only 10 minutes walk either way to both. Everything a tourist will need - shops, restaurants, bars, transport links, ATMs are all nearby. A perfect hotel for a holiday on a budget.

We loved this nook of a hotel. Perfect location, VERY helpful and friendly desk staff, and we enjoyed our little balcony. Bathrooms were clean, although no shower door (tub with faucet and extending shower head - which we found to be fun - although not for anyone not flexible to sit and wash in tub). The double bed- was really two twins pushed together, so be clear about what you want for this.. We would return - it was a solid deal, and very welcoming.

Location was nice, not too far from the ocean. Extremly clean, recently remodeled. Great Italian restaurant two doors down. Lots of great shoping nearby. Walking distance to the train station - Really. Hotel staff were really nice. I do plan to stay there again. Only one negative, no shower curtain, but you know the french. Super, super clean room.

Rommene var lit små men brukbart. Baderommet var helt topp men det manglet forheng foran badekaret. Servicen på hotellet var topp.

Prévoir le prix du parking public - forfait 15 à 20 euros par jour. Pour un 3 * un peu déçu au niveau des chambres et déco de l'hôtel.

For mig er det vigtigste ved et hotel at føle sig velkommen. Og det gjorde jeg i høj grad på Hotel Boreal. Som forretningsrejsende opholder jeg mig ofte på diverse upersonlige hoteller hvor man i bedste fald føler sig som et objekt der skal serviceres. På Boreal var personalet derimod utroligt imødekommende og venligt, på en behageligt personlig facon som gjorde opholdet vældig rart. Mit værelse var småt men udemærket til overnatning, rent og med lille men velindrettet badeværelse med kar. Morgenmaden var dog ikke noget at fejre. Jeg valgte bl.a. hotellet fordi der stod at det var ca 1 km fra Acropolis konferencecenteret. 10 min gang tænkte jeg - men det var 20 min. Det viste sig dog at der går en direkte sporvognslinie direkte mellem hotellet og centeret, så det var helt fint.

Vi hade fyra härliga dygn i Nice. Trevlig personal, rent och bra rum även om golvet i rummet knarrade mycket. Sköna sängar och bra frukost som man står sig på en bit in på dagen.

Accueil très agréable, avec le sourire. Chambre correcte, propre. Peut être un léger manque d'insonorisation des portes des chambres. On entend trop facilement les voisins. Pour le reste TB

Mycket trevligt och lagom stort hotell med centralt läge. Trevlig personal (engelsktalande) och utmärkt service. Liten frukostbufe men inehållande det mesta man behöver. Allt välsmakande och frächt. Enligt prisuppgiften skulle hotellpriset vara inklusive alla skatter men hotellet tar ut en skatt TVA vilket borde stå i bokningsuppgifterna.

Un très bon hôtel au confort irréprochable idéalement situé dans le centre de Nice. Le personnel est disponible et compétent, les prestations de qualité. Le petit déjeuner copieux et bon. Une très bonne adresse pour visiter Nice.

accueil sympatique. Petit déjeuner copieux. chambre et salle de bains propres. la chambre un petit peu petite pour trois. très bien placé on peut aller partout près de la plage et des magasins.

pas d'ascenseur très difficile avec lourds bagages petit dejeuner un peu pauvre nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant position centrale excellente parking proche prix preferentiel pour une semaine

L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier très calme ; le personnel est à l'écoute de la clientèle, y compris la nuit ; les chambres sont très propres. J'y retournerai sans hésiter!

Il s'agit d'un hotel simple mais bien situé dans Nice. Nous avons eu la malchance d'avoir la chambre 504 situé sous l'escalier dans la partie la moins moderne alors évidement que le matin, c'est un peu bruyang

Perfekt beliggenhet når hensikten er storbyferie. Taxi er overflødig, all offentlig transport koster 1 EUR. Nice er en vennlig by, og hotellet er meget bra i sin klasse.

Engelsktalande personal, bra bemötande när vi checkade in. Trivsamt rum och fräscht badrum. Centralt- gångavstånd till det mesta. Lite grönsaker på frukostbordet vore trevligt.

Centrally lokated hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. But the room and bathroom was terribly dirty, - even after I asked the maid to clean it. If budget is important, I would probably stay at a clean youth hostel rather than stay here.

Beliggenheten var perfekt. Rommet var rent og fint, men der var veldig dårlig luft i rommet. Klimaanlegget virket sansynligvis ikke. Det bråket fælt når det sto på max og luften vart ikke bedre. Vinduet var låst og kunne ikke åpnes. Dessuten var det en skuffelse at der ikke var minibar/kjøleskap. Det hadde vi ikke sjekket på forhånd, vi tok det som en selvfølge.

I expected a cuter and somewhat cleaner room based on the photos and reviews I read on this site. The blankets that were laid on the beds and the carpet did not seem altogether fresh and the white of the furniture and walls was rather tired. The sense that the room had been overused and not thoroughly cleaned also came from a persistent cigarette smell that floated in the room despite the fact that we kept the windows open for one entire afternoon and the following night; the room was supposed to be "non-smoking," by the way. We arrived in Nice at the end of the season (Sept. 1st) and I suppose that explains some of the negative aspects described above; perhaps the rooms are 'fresher' at the beginning of the summer? On the positive side, however, the location is great, the bathroom spacious and supplied with Fragonard products (mmm!), and the AC & TV, including the remote, were in working condition (although we used neither--I only tested the machines:). The staff was also very pleasant and helpful. They explained the two ways of getting to the airport (buses 98 and 99 from different points in the city, both within walking distance), had our room ready before the official check-in time, and stored our luggage after check-out, all with perfect manners and an offer to speak English if need be. I would stay there again because of the location and price, but if I had to spend more than one night, I would definitely insist on a fragrance-free room.

mitt i Nice. Litet mysigt hotell. Frukosten var katastrof, gå ut och ät frukost på något mysigt café. För att sova så är hotellet utmärkt, rummen inte så stora men rent och fräscht.

Reiser gjerne tilbake til hotellet. Hotellet ligger i passe gangavstand fra promenaden. spisestedene, shoppingmulighetene.etc,etc.

Das Hotel, das kürzlich erst neu renoviert wurde, liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße einer wichtigen innerstädtischen Strasse (Jean Medecin) und ist gut zu erreichen mit der soeben (11/07) neu angelegten Strassenbahn. Es sind nur wenige Minuten bis zu der neu gestalteten Place Massena, ein Juwel städtischer Architektur. Von dort aus zweigt die Rue Massena ab, eine Fussgängerstrasse, auf der man mitten im Stadtzentrum, in der Altstadt Nizzas ist. Von Hotel ist es auch nicht sehr weit bis zur nächsten Haltestelle des Flughafenbusses. Mein Hotelzimmer - Einzelzimmer - war relativ klein, aber reichte mit Schreibtisch und Wandschrank für einen Kurzbesuch völlig aus. Das Bad war einwandfrei. Das Frühstück war adäquat dem Hotelstandard, das Rezeptionspersonal freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Hotel placé en plein centre ville, 10mn à pied des grandes rues commerçantes. Proche des transports en commum. Pas de parking (et quasiment pas de places dans les environs, sauf parkings payants). Petit déjeuner bon, mais peu varié.

Un albergo situato in un punto direi strategico, in pieno centro dove c'è il "movimento", vicino a qualsiasi cosa compresa la stupenda promenade sul mare. Un albergo semplice senza pretese, benchè non sia dotato di grandi comfort (non ha neanche il frigo-bar) e benchè la stanza sia oggettivamente piccolina, è ben arredato e intimo e il soggiorno è stato piacevole. Dovessi ritornare a Nizza sicuramente andrò nuovamente in questo albergo.
