Marriott Resort, Doral Golf Resort and Spa - Miami

It was an awesome hotel, very beautiful views inside the hotel area and very comfortable and big room, we got very good deal on this hotel, i bet the price we paid wasn't even half of what other guests paid for themselves "thanks Hotels.com" but there was 2 problem, Fire alarm went off 4 time in one night!!! because of lightings their fire alarm system got messed up. twice at 6pm, once at 2am!!!!! and once at 3am!!! it was an extreme loud sound. very horrible experience to wake up like that, and they didn't even apologize for it!! the 2nd problem was the hotel's restaurant, it took them almost 1hour to ready our food.

The hotel was very nice, but to eat was very expensive. If you like spending $17 for an omlette, this is your place. The hotel overall was beautiful and top notch. Beds were most comfortable, clean, luxurious.

Everyone we had contact with had the best attitude. We came across at least 16 workers and everyone was nice. From the security guard to the maids, they were perfect. The rooms and resort were nice and comfortable also.

If you don't play golf, it is not worth the money payed.

I attended a conference at this hotel. Overall, the service was quite good, from the valets to the housekeeping. However, from the design standpoint, the property is just average. There is a musty smell in the guest areas, and the design is quite tired. There are also several spaces in the main building, such as the lobby bar, that are not fully furnished or put together. So they are just big, open spaces, which is somewhat odd.

We originally booked a golf view and when we checked in we were put into a garden view but were told to stop back the next day to be moved. Instead of moving us to a golf view they upgraded us to an AMAZING SPA VILLA! It was absolutely marvelous. 1200 sp ft., marble, 2 bathrooms, beautiful! The adult pool was quiet and very convenient and the golf was absolutely first class service. Great Experience and cant wait to go back.

Marriott Resort, Doral Golf Resort and Spa has a history for hosting outstanding golf tournaments. The grounds are lovely, the pool, spa and golf course are outstanding. However, I have been staying at this hotel on and off for over ten years and the rooms are antiquated at best. The beds aren't the most comfortable and the carpet smells musty.

The room was nice but the bath room was not clean. The tub was cloged with grass, there was hair on the floor and trash under the sink. The staff was OK. The day that we were leaving it was raining, the garden staff were in all the walkways and would not move so that we would not get wet. The staff needs to work on their customer service skills. The pool was very nice. Location was good, But I will try a different hotel next time I visit Miami.

Amazing hotel, wonderful view, outstanding staff, great food. I loved my garden view room, with beautiful plantation shutters and walk in closet. Best hotel that I've stayed in by far.

The best part of the hotel was the EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE BED. Another plus was the service. The hotel staff seemed to be committed to pleasing their customers. I would highly recommend spending the extra money for the Breakfast option, It is WORTH EVERY PENNY ! Considering all of this, the hotel still has room for improvement. The televisions are out dated and old. Also the hotel has very limited channel selections. Also for this type of resort I was expecting a fridge and microwave in the room. All things considered I was satisfied with my stay and would stay there again. I would love for the hotel to update the televisions and channels. The fridge and microwave would be nice as well. If these changes are made then the Hotel would have received 5 stars across the board. No QUESTION about it.

Just going a few miles out of Miami we found this gem. For a fraction of the "beach hotels," price...we got a RESORT! For the very resonable cost, this hotel was outstanding. With several pools for the kids and a spacious, newly remodeled rooms we were more than happy with this hotel. It is a little out of the way, in a developing area but for the cost... with 2 kids... it was TOTALLY a great suprise!

A great hotel close to airport - but not too close. A short drive from the beeches and "down town Miami. Unfortunately only stayed one night while on the way to the airport - would stay again to enjoy the numerous facilities.

Defenitely is nto a hotel for do shopping on Miami; the rooms are very far from the parking and they offer a transportation services (Golf Cars) but any time that you use, a tip is required. I select a room with Breakfast included and the hotel all days the restaurant and front desk fight for this reason. At the final they discount from the invoice but you need to get the printed reservation to show to everybody and avoid inconveniences. In Average, it is a very good hotel for stay inside all the time. If your plan is shopping in Miami, i suggest other hotel with more facilities in carry stuff.

We arrived early in Miami from our cruise and went straight to the resort knowing that we would be early for our check in. All the employees we came in contact with could not have been more accomodating and friendly. The person at the front desk was fantastic. Our rooms were not ready and they wanted to make sure that we were comfortable and offered us a day room, free of charge for us to relax and change into our swim suits. The resort and our room were spotless. Room service was excellent. We needed a roll away bed and had it delivered to us in 10 minutes. Outstanding Place, 5 Plus Stars for this stay!!!!

We did not know when we booked the hotel that the CA World Golf championship was about to take place at Doral-many physical changes to the place to accomodate this huge golf tour. We were, frankly, worried about how this would impact our stay. Well, it only enhanced it-so exciting to see the famous golfers & the hotel bent over backwards to continue to accomodate the non-golfing guests. We were not there for the actual tournament, but for the practice rounds. so do not know what the rest of the week would be like. The rooms are quite spacious, touches of luxury - bathrooms were very large & I loved the separate, seated vanity area outside the bathroom-a wonderful addition to the room! Pool was lovely with a nice mix of sun & shade. One hint, if you need access to the internet, purchase an internet card at the Java Cafe-a much better deal than using the business center, which charges $10 for every 15 min. You can purchase a card in the cafe for $6 for 30 min & you can use it again & again, not in one session like the business center charges.

This was an excellent hotel, especially for the price paid. Outstanding amenities with close in proximity to everything that was needed. Hotel staff was superb.

Very nice hotel. Pool area is beautiful. Golf course view is too. If you don't care about spending your time in Miami on the beach, this is the place to stay! Needed some paint in places, but overall well maintained.

i think only thing missing would be live music on friday or saturday night. great place to stay for agreat weekend

Room was very dirt and old. Toilet did not work. We didn't like the idea that you had to walk so far to your room after valet parking your car. We left the hotel we were so disgusted with it. We would like our money back from Hotels.com

When my friend and I went Florida and decided to stay at the Marriot-Doral Golf Resort and Spa we really didn't know what to expect, but some incredible golf. Upon our arrival at the resort, it was nothing but the best. Incredibly friendly staff (Pablo) helped us with our bags from our car to our room, driving us around the property showing the different golf courses, bars/pools etc.. to Shake the awesome and very funny starter at the Blue Monster course and Vivian the hotel restaurant waitress. I couldn't even begin to give enough praise about our stay. 5 stars!!! and would come back in a heart beat!!

The parking was far from the rooms. The rooms had small beds and the lodge looked old and dingy. The grounds and the pool were very nice bu t i was very disappointed with the room.

wir waren die letzten 3 Tage in diesem Hotel. ca. 20 minuten vom Flughafen und trotzdem ruhig. die Anlage ist umgeben von einem sehr gepflegten Golfplatz . in 2008 haben wir duch zufall auch ein größeres golfturnier beobachtet. anlage sehr gepflegt und sauber. zimmer sehr gross und meisst mit blick auf den golfplatz. in der nähe sind sehr vile restaurants und ein e sehr gute outlet mall (dolphin-mall). eine tolle Swimmingpoolanlage mit 2 großen in Palmen eingebetteten Pools. der einzige nachteil: ab 2009 12 dollar /tag parkplatzgebühr oder valet parking ( noch teurer) und der parkplatz ist ca. 5-10 minuten entfernt von der Lodge!

- Bei Ankunft half uns niemand, unser Gepäck auf unser Zimmer zu bringen - Dann war die ganze Zeit unseres Aufenthaltes ein Lift außer Betrieb - Einige Zimmer an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße gelegen und sehr laut - um 16.00 um Babybett gebeten, erhalten um 23.00 Uhr nach dreimaligem Nachfragen erhalten - Hotelanlage sehr weitläufig, wir benötigten ein Shuttle zum Frühstück und zur Repzeption, auf das wir jedesmal 20 Minuten warteten, für Gehbehinderte eher ungeeignet - Frühstücksbuffet gut, das andere Essen amerikanisch und mittelmäßig - Golfplatz sehr schön - Poolanlage eher mittelmäßig - A/C im gesamten Hotel sehr kalt eingestellt - Im Spa Komplex Versprühung von Zimmerdüften in den Hotelzimmern, die nicht jedermanns Geschmack sind - Hotelanlage und Zimmer jedoch sehr schön und sauber

A notre arrivé, nous nous sommes retrouvé dans une chambre dans la quelle le menage n'avait pas été complètement fait. J'ai râlé aupres du front desk et le manager (tres pro) nous a proposé une chambre identique (mais avec vue sur le Golf). Extra !! Hotel tres classe avec les chambre réparties dans plusieurs petit buidings. La chambre est spatieuse, salle de bain en marbre, baignoire et douche séparés, toilettes séparées, coffre fort, refrigerateur, écran plat, bureau. Pour finir, au centre du complexe 2 très belles piscines avec chutte d'eau, jacuzzi et toboggan pour les enfants. A recommander
