Hotel Mondial - Paris

The Mondial is well located being about 200 metres from Grand Boulevardes Metro station and in a busy part of Paris with many bars, cafes and restaurants near by. Our room was adequate. We had requested a double bed but the room had three singles. The bathroom was a reasonable size. The shower was a hand held shower only. The hotel gave the impression that it was old and neglected. It needs some money investing in it and more effort from the management to make it a more comfortable and inviting place to stay. For example the towels in the bathroom were clean but were clearly old and had lost their softness. The bedding was clean but the mattreses were old and sagging. The rooms and corridors were in need of decoration. The vending machine in the lobby was empty. None of these criticisms are important in isolation, but together they indicate that general neglect. Just a little bit more effort could make this a much more pleasant place to stay. In summary I would look elsewhere on future visits to Paris and would not recommend the Mondial.

After a suprisingly easy drive from Calais the last 900 meters was one of the most traumatic drives of my life! Unfortunatly instead of plotting a route on a map we relied on the Satnav which kept dropping out of signal due to the high buildings, this resulted in driving round in circles on the one way system hopelessly lost but knowing we were very close! Eventually we found the hotel at 1am. The Gent on reception obviously could see that we were not in the best of moods and after initially saying that they didnt have many parking spaces agreed to let us park right outside the main entrance!!! Again we managed to get lost moving the car in the one way system but the french seemingly dont mind you driving the wrong way up one way streets so we parked facing the opposit way to every other car! By the time we got back to the reception we had been upgraded...lovely suprise! Two lovely days of sightseeing followed. The hotel is situated perfectly for touring either on foot (half an hour walk to the Louvre, 45 mins to Notre Dame) or by Metro, Some great resteraunts and bars right on the doorstep and the staff are exactly how we like them, helpful when asked but leave you alone other wise! About the perceeved 'attitude' that the french have to the english, I need not have been at all, everyone was so great and if you just try to speak french you will be treated with respect and spoken to in english. Bonjour, par le vou anglaise?

The hotel is little old. However the location is good and they tried to keep it clean. The location is great. Close to all attractions, Metro and eating places.

The hotel was under partial renovation and you could tell they had recently updated the room, new wall paper, paint etc. However it was very poorly done and looked cheap. The furniture was cheap and was damaged in obvious spots. The light in our hall way would not work. Cracks in the ceiling had been painted over and had popped back through. The dining room was over crowded with tables and chairs so that you could not navigate easily. We checked out the next day.

Excellent newly refurbished en-suite bathroom, bedroom furniture below an acceptable standard.Paper thin walls between rooms. Public areas in need of redecoration, stairways and corridors needed to see a vacum cleaner! Breakfast adequate, Good central location.

Very cost effective option - location is next to train station, area is noisy at night, but safe. Room was a little disappointing (water stains on walls and ceiling, bedspread was torn, but clean), but for the price we were expecting old, small and plain. This hotel needs new paint and carpeting - it is worn out. We were first placed on a higher floor, but the room was so bad, we complained. They moved us to a lower floor room that was acceptable, but not remarkable. A basic breakfast was included in price and was fairly good, but the exact same everyday. We needed a cheap option and were willing to make concessions for the price. If that is your situation, I would suggest giving it a try.

hotel calme dans un quartier animé. si l'accueil est agréable, le service notamment du petit déjeuner est largement à améliorer. j'ai connu des hotels notamment vers montparnasse mieux et moins chers.

Hotellet ligger lugnt med lite trafikbuller. Rummen enkla och mycket små - ganska trångt och svårt få undan sina väskor. En del skavanker men våra förväntningar var uppfyllda. Bra service. Frukosten hoppade vi över på andras rekommendation.

I have never been so rudely treated at a hotel ever as at the Hotel Mondial in Paris. The only reason that we didn't change hotels immediately was that we had little time and wouldn't be spending much time at the room anyhow. We had booked a three bed-room, and I had made the booking via my iPhone, which I always do nowadays. When we came to the reception the lady said she needed a printout of the booking. I explained that we had made the booking by phone and didn't have a printout. I even gave her my phone to look at the confirmation. Then she started arguing that she could not accept this and that she would always bring a printout when she travelled and basically that she thought we were very stupid. She went on with this speech for quite some time. Anyhow, at last we got our keys and got to our room which was small and very worn with torn wallpaper, dirty carpet and unclean desk, which had a weak door facing a very dirty backyard. We immediately asked for another room, and was shown to a room facing the same dirty backyard, which had no electricity. Finally we got a room facing the street, which was really a double room with an extra bed. Due to lack of time, we accepted it. The key to the safe was missing, and the staff never found it during our stay. The hotel was in a small alley that wasn't very nice to walk on in the evenings, and there was constant "partying" all through the nights. The hotel was totally overpriced.

Hotel Mondial har ett utmärkt läge i Paris, det är nära till det mesta.Det har ett lugnt läge i en gränd. Rummen städas varje dag och bemötandet är trevligt. Frukosten duger, inget överflöd, men helt ok. Hotellet är ett normalt 3-stjärnigt hotell i en storstad, ingen lyx men heller inte dåligt.

Sengen var i hardeste laget, men badet og renhold ok. Fellesarealer ga et slitt og lite koselig inntrykk (kunne vært rettet opp med små midler som hele møbler, rene lamper og et par grønne planter).

Hotellet ligger nærme metro, og i gangavstand til "sentrum", parallellt med en stor gate full av liv; Kino, restauranter, shopping, osv. Allikevel ligger det i en stille og rolig gate, uten puber og nattliv til å holde deg våken. Standarden på rommet var så som så, med en badedør som gikk inntill oppe, men ikke nede, og skjevt gulv og skjeve lamper. Men, til denne prisen så sentralt, og med hyggelig betjening vil jeg allikevel anbefale hotellet for dem som ikke er så nøye på standarden.

Nous avions réservé une chambre pour deux et nous avons eu presque un petit studio pour 4 personnes avec de bons lits et une belle salle de bains. D'autre part l'hôtel se trouve dans une petite rue ce qui fait qu'il est très calme.

Tamamen orta karar sadece yatmak için bir oda.. tekstil ile ilgili bir alışveriş için gidiyorsanız merkezi. Trusttik alanlara uzak. Metro tam önünde yemek sorunu olmayan bir bölge

L'Hotel ha un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo e si trova in una buona posizione per spostarsi e visitare parigi, le camere abbastanza comode e pulite

Bonne prestation, gentillesse. Un plus pour le veilleur de nuit qui a fait tout ce qui fallait pour me trouver une place de parking. Bravo... et surtout merci

Enkelt hotell med stort fräscht badrum. Lite problem med duschanordningen dock. Trots uppgift på hotellets hemsida om att det skulle finnas satelittv på rummen, så fanns det inte. Slitet rum som inte kändes fräscht. Väl fungerande luftkonditionering. Sköna sängar. Tråkig/halvläskig miljö utanför hotellet, med urindoft och några uteliggare (oförargliga).

la posizione dell'albergo è ottimale per raggiungere le varie attrattive di Parigi in parte a piedi e in parte con numerosi mezzi pubblici (bus e metro) che transitano in zona;trovandosi in una stradina laterale è anche molto silenzioso. La struttura invece lascia un pò a desiderare: non tutte le stanze sono in linea con quelle pubblicitate,ed io,per esempio,mi sono fatto cambiare la stanza perchè in quella assegnata c'era una perdita di acqua da un rubinetto,lo scarico del water era difettoso e rumoroso,l'arredamento quasi inesistente. La nuova camera per quanto anch'essa "standard" era invece di ben altro livello. La 1^ colazione era di sufficiente qualità e quantità

Das Hotel ist prima gelegen und das Servicepersonal ist bemüht, gute Tipps für einen schönen Aufenthalt zu geben. Schade ist nur dass der Lift nicht funktioniert hat und ab dem ersten Stock die Wände und der Teppich etwas gruselig waren. Wer das aber mit Humor nimmt, kann dort ein zwei schöne Tage verbringen.
